Vacation in a charming cottage in Hancock, Maine. Blackberry Cottage is tucked under the trees and Blueberry Cottage overlooks the horse pasture and blueberry field, both being within easy walking distance of the shore. We are ideally located halfway between Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park at Schoodic Point. We are 45 minutes from downtown Bar Harbor and just off scenic Route 1 to "Downeast" Maine. The cottages are fully equipped for housekeeping, with washer, dryer and wood stove. They sleep up to 7 people. We are in an excellent area for hiking, biking, kayaking and berry picking. Walk to Jellison Cove on Frenchman's Bay or explore the nearby woods and fields.

This 2007 cottage near Bar Harbor, with living space on the second floor for the view, provides the perfect vacation for two couples, with two very private bedrooms, each with its own bath. Kitchen includes all appliances and a stunning view of the ocean. You may eat at the bar or the dining table. It has a cozy living room with bay window seat. A laundry and a third bath and den are on the ground level. There is an outdoor deck with a view of Frenchman's Bay and Mount Desert Island. Stroll down through the orchard to sit on the beach, watch the shore birds and boats go by, maybe even go for a dip if you're brave. Acadia National Park and downtown Bar Harbor are just 20 minutes away.

The granddaughter of Hannibal Hamlin lived here and did extensive work that preserved the house to this day. From the upstairs rooms you can see Frenchman's Bay, the Porcupine Islands, the mountains of Acadia National Park, the Cat Ferry to Nova Scotia, and visiting ocean liners. We're within easy driving distance of Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Island, as well as Schoodic Point. There's a path to the water. Nutkin Cottage is a charming camp on Donnell Pond, considered one of the most pristine lakes in the state of Maine. A good part of the shoreline is protected. Our cottage is at the end of Squirrel Lane, down close to the water, giving it privacy from its neighbors. The cottage kitchen is fully supplied with pots, pans, dishes, microwave, toaster. Linens and towels are ready and waiting. There's a washer and dryer. There are three bedrooms. The cottage sleeps 7 people, has 2 decks, lots of seating, gas grill, and the lake!

This charming 1890's farmhouse has 3 bedrooms, one with a back stairway, and two bathrooms. It sleeps 7 to 10 people. The farmhouse kitchen is fully equipped and has a wood stove. The renovated dining room in the old summer kitchen opens on to a large flower filled deck and back yard. The property borders on the Crabtree Neck Land Trust on Hancock Point. Bar Harbor is 45 minutes away, Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island, 40 minutes and Acadia National Park at Schoodic Point 25 minutes.

The Thompson House will be available from July 29th through August 26th, Sunday to Sunday. The house is large with 6 bedrooms. The house can sleep up to 12 people with two people per room. There is a nice big kitchen, re-done about 10 years ago. Downstairs there is a dining room, living room, play porch, 1/2 bath, and big deck facing the ocean.

The house is on the very end of Hancock Point, facing Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park, and has an incredible view and direct beach access. Upstairs there is a full bath and the bedrooms. The weekly rental price is $1,800, with an additional cleaning fee of $100. Discount available for consecutive rental weeks.

This lovely 1800's Cottage is only 35 minutes from Bar Harbor. The Cozy Cottage on a private road, off Maine's scenic U.S. Rte 1, includes 3 acres of oceanfront, woods and fields. Wake up and drink your coffee on the large front deck while you enjoy the gorgeous view. Nearby are Acadia National Park, Schoodic Mountain (good for beginning mountain climbers), and Donnell's pond, a great place to swim in the A rated pristine, stream fed lake waters on Maine’s Public Reserve Land. Shop for groceries and eat out in Nearby Ellsworth and Bar Harbor.

This lovely home is surrounded by piney forest and free roaming deer. It is in the village of Mount Desert on Hall Quarry Road, and centrally located on Mount Desert Island, just minutes (on foot or by bike) from Acadia National Park. The house is within a short walk to a great swimming area on Echo Lake, and carriage trails and mountain hikes are close by. Perfect for large families, the house can sleep up to 10 people but is reasonably priced for couples as available rental weeks are primarily at the end of the season this year.

I am renting the apartment for two in my home in Maine this summer. I live in Hancock, Maine, 15 miles past Ellsworth and quite near Bar Harbor. My cabin, East Lodge, is in the woods, overlooking Frenchman Bay, a short walk from the beach at Jellison Cove, and about half an hour from Mt Desert Island, home of Acadia National Park where there are multitudes of things to do for young and old, also just a simple skip to Schoodic, the less populated part of the Acadia Park system. Come and see beautiful Maine.

Rates: $100 to $125 per night (minimum stay - 3 nights), weekly rates available. Most weeks are still available.
